How will young people benefit from it?
The European Solidarity Corps is the perfect match for young people who want to take social action, develop their skills and enhance their employability. It also enables them to connect with like-minded people and feel rewarded for making a difference. After their activity, participants receive a certificate that documents their participation. This could be used when applying for jobs or further learning. Participants’ travel and accommodation costs will be covered for the duration of the activity and some spending is provided for additional personal expenses. Relevant training will be given before the activity starts and after arrival on site.
Servizio Civile Universale
Il Servizio civile universale è la scelta volontaria di dedicare alcuni mesi della propria vita al servizio di difesa, non armata e non violenta, della Patria, all’educazione, alla pace tra i popoli e alla promozione dei valori fondativi della Repubblica italiana, attraverso azioni per le comunità e per il territorio. Il Servizio civile universale rappresenta una importante occasione di formazione e di crescita personale e professionale per i giovani, che sono un’indispensabile e vitale risorsa per il progresso culturale, sociale ed economico del Paese. Con il Dlgs. 6 marzo 2017, n. 40, il servizio civile universale punta ad accogliere tutte le richieste di partecipazione da parte dei giovani che, per scelta volontaria, intendono fare un’esperienza di grande valore formativo e civile, in grado anche di dare loro competenze utili per l’immissione nel mondo del lavoro.
