Please alter g̶e̶n̶t̶l̶y̶

Memories are shared but never identical.

“Please alter gently” is an interactive installation of video, sound, and sculptural memory totems, reminiscing on a year of two foreigners in Catania.

Touch, reshape, and retell.

The project explores memory as fluid and collective. Through audiovisual material and tactile sculptures, visitors are invited to actively alter the narrative — just as memories change when they are shared and retold.

The artists carrying out the installation have been members of Zō team during the period 2025-2026 as European Solidarity Corps volunteers. Andriani is a visual artist from Greece, and Sai is a multidisciplinary artist from Latvia. Together they combine their artistic vision and recordings of their memories to share with you this unique experience.

“Please alter gently” è un’installazione interattiva composta da video, suoni e totem scultorei che ricordano un anno trascorso da due stranieri a Catania.

Tocca, rimodella e racconta 

Il progetto esplora la memoria come qualcosa di fluido e collettivo. Attraverso materiale audiovisivo e sculture tattili, i visitatori sono invitati a modificare attivamente la narrazione, proprio come i ricordi cambiano quando vengono condivisi e raccontati.

Lɜ artistɜ che hanno realizzato l’installazione sono stati membri del team Zō nel periodo 2025-2026 come volontarɜ del Corpo europeo di solidarietà. Andriani è un’artistə visiva greca e Sai è un artistə multidisciplinare lettone. Insieme combinano la loro visione artistica e le registrazioni dei loro ricordi per condividere con voi questa esperienza unica.
